Fortune Innovation Forum: Speed Thrills

If your company was destroyed today, would you rebuild it exactly as it was?

Whew! Powerful question. I'm not sure which speaker said that at this session titled Speed Thrills. I was taking notes and heard it. It's the heart of this forum: change and its motivation. The motivation is...make yourself better. If you could start with a clean slate what changes would you make? The biggest obstacle, especially for large corporations, is the existing infrastructure that supports the current processes. And for small companies it's the resources to make the change. You're not encumbered by out-dated technology...you're encumbered possibly by either limited human or financial capital.

If your company was destroyed today, would you rebuild it exactly as it was? Assume your insurance offers full, complete coverage AND benefit are paid immediately...would you rebuild, with the same equipment and the same people and the processes and the same offices....?
